E.E.G in Children with Behavior Disorder

Abstract
In order to make certain of the relationship between behavior disorder and EEG, 128 EEG in 119 children with behavior disorder at Dept. of Neurology, University of Minnesota were examined and the results were summarized as followings.
1. Although the number of cases with neurologic findings were almost none, majority of the cases
observed were surmised to show presence of morbid changes or lesions in central nervous system.
2. It seemed to bT worthwhile to observe the time-course with administrating anticonvulsants to the
above mentioned cases with uncertain presence of morbid changes or lesions.
3. In this age group, 58 EEG, the sum total of the underwritten, were surmised to be related more closely with behavior disorder.
1) Bioccipital slow wave,
Slow activity in the posterior-temporal region,
Central vertex spike with background slowing in the posterior parts of the head.
2) Temporal lobe abnormality
3) 14 & 6/sec positive spike complex
